The
little loomhouse is a group of 3 historic cabins where Lou Tate, a famous spinner and weaver, worked and lived. It is located in the south end of Louisville at 328 Keenwood Hill Road. It is run soley by volunteers so they recommend that you call ahead before you visit. I was unable to tour it today because the voluteers were out, but I'm going to try back tomorrow.
I also visited the
Mellwood Arts Center today, where I visited several galleries and just enjoyed the character the building has to offer. It was once the Fisher Meat Packing Company, but is now renovated and offers many galleries, studios and office spaces. You can feel and see the history of this complex, as they kept the majority of the architectural features.
