Appeal of Installtion Pieces:
- impermanence
- mirroring life's constant ability to change
- no foundation allows the eye to imagine the piece flowing beyond the space it fills
- does not truncate the piece
- is not static
- defy typical expectations
- organic form; flow
- separate units making up the larger piece representing the idea that no two things are exactly alike
- transform the perception on space
- broader sensory experience
- space and time are often the only dimensional constants
- applying the dissolution of the line between art and life
- a piece that is a loose representation of a concrete object
- imagery
- state of total artistic immersion
