Foundations of Dyeing

Wool Dyeing workshop I attended at the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber festival. Led my C.J. of Silver Wheel Yarn. They are a couple of talented Fiber Artists who love sharing their knowledge.

We were able to keep everything we dyed in the workshop, as well as take home a starter kit, to dye on our own time!!!!

Sweet Home Spun Booth with JoAnn's new quilt depicting the Low Dutch Meeting house at their farm and its surroundings. Her booth looked wonderful. The festival was great.

Frank O Gehry

One of my top 3 favorite Architects.. beyond his high level of excellence as an Architect, Gehry is a skilled Artist as well. His ideas are brought to life in large scale and are fascinating in appearance.

"I think my best skill as an architect is the achievement of hand-to-eye coordination; I am able to transfer a sketch into a model into the building" Frank O Gehry

These finished buildings have special attention to line, shadows, scale, etc. All are visually appealing, interesting and especially unique. His buildings seem to defy laws of gravity and physics in a brilliant way.
